Dental Implants
How to save money on dental implants:
A damaged smile can lead to embarrassment for many people. A chipped or broken tooth, a missing tooth, or a severely damaged or discolored tooth has the potential to ruin a person’s smile and self-worth. Many people choose to get dental implants to correct these perceived flaws in their appearance, but it comes at a cost.
Many implants cost upwards of thousands of dollars to obtain. For a lot of people, this is simply not an option. When exploring dental reconstruction, however, there are ways to save money and still achieve the results you are looking for.
Comparison Shopping- Many people wrongly assume that dental work is a one-price-fits-all line of work. Just as you would shop around for the best deal on a car or new living room furniture, you should take your time selecting a cosmetic dentist who can perform the work you desire within your price range. Many people have been stunned to be told the work they want will cost tens of thousands of dollars, only to later hear that a friend or acquaintance had the same work done at a dentist out of town for a fraction of the cost. Consider your options for travel. If getting a hotel room and making an early morning appointment at a town several hours away is cheaper after paying their fees than getting the work done in your home town, why wouldn’t you consider that an option? Similarly, just because you have always gone to the same dentist doesn’t mean you are committed for life. If a different dentist can offer you more satisfactory work and pricing, make the switch. That’s not being disloyal- it’s just business.
Consider a Dental School- If there is a dental school in your area, chances are they are willing to do dental work for a fraction of the cost. Of course, these students are all closely monitored while performing the work, so any concerns you have about safety should be disregarded. Nobody is going to let you get hurt. By having your work done at a dental school, you not only save money, but you put the money that you do pay toward helping future dentists graduate and succeed at life. That’s a great benefit for everyone involved!
Explore Other Options- I get it. Nobody wants dentures or a partial bridge done, but if the cost of a removable set of replacement teeth is more financially obtainable than an implant, isn’t it foolish to hold out? I guarantee that, once you have your new teeth, you’ll feel so much better about yourself that the money won’t even matter. So why not just give it a go?
Thanks to advancements in dental technology, nobody has to suffer with a smile they don’t love. Do your research and make the appointments necessary to make the changes you need to feel more confident about yourself. I promise it will benefit you in every part of your life.
